Popular Nigerian actor, Nonso Diobi has denied any knowledge of adverts that request persons who want to venture into acting to pay some amount of money into a certain account for auditions and also get roles in movies.
According to Bola Dauda of Nigeriafilms.com, a fraudster has been lobbying unsuspecting persons via social networking sites asking for the payment of some fees for a shot at Nollywood glory.
The actor, for years has kept his private life quiet and out of the public domain.
Nonso vehemently denied such advertisements and publications, advising friends, colleagues and fans to shun such broadcast messages which he said the fraudster is using to extort money from young and upcoming actors.
Good looking Nonso Diobi shot into the Nollywood limelight in 2001 starring in the movie, Border Line, a breakthrough he described as "…a dream come true."
He has since not looked back, appearing in countless number of productions notably, Beyond Desire, My Last Ambition, Sexy Girls, Chasing the Dream, Temple of Justice and Tiger King.
