Nollywood actress, Tonto Dike has bashed Nigerian Igbo men describing them as very nosy and therefore does not see herself marrying one.
The actress who is currently dating a man from Edo state in Nigeria was reacting to a question from an interview from the Punch Newspaper.
The interviewer asked “We just learnt that you will be getting married soon to your new boyfriend who happens to come from Benin, Edo state. Why are so many Nollywood female starts getting snapped up by Benin or men from Edo state?”
Tonto Dike, who hardly goes without controversies, in a response to the question was swift in jabbing Igbo men who she described as being judgmental.
“First of all, it is nobody’s business where my fiancé is from. That out of the way, yes Benin men are great and very understanding. They are not sitting and judging you unlike an Igbo man that will want to be poke-nosing in everything you do.
“You make your money and the Edo man is not interested in your personal affairs. If I keep waiting for an Igbo man I will just end up eternally single,” she said.
Tontoh Dikeh, who hails from River State and is of the Ikwerre tribe, shot into the limelight after emerging first runner-up in the reality show, Next Movie Star in 2005.
The daughter of the River State politician recently got tongues wagging when she came in the news for a humongous tattoo she had on her back.
The Fatal Mistake and Family Disgrace star explained that the mysterious tattoo took 10 hours to be done while she had a two-hour break in between. As for the meaning of the tattoo, she said it had a very deep meaning.
