The Ghana Education Service (GES) says it has dispatched the lists of schools with vacancies for unplaced qualified Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates to select from, to the regional and district offices of the service throughout the country.
It said Regional Computerised Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) Co-ordinators as well as District Examination Officers were to guide qualified but unplaced candidates to choose schools and select programmes only from the lists provided in order to facilitate their placement.
A statement signed by the acting Public Relations Officer of the GES, Mr Paul Kofi Krampah said qualified candidates were only allowed to choose schools from the lists provided and not schools outside the lists.
"All completed forms should be returned to the Director of Secondary Education Division latest by October 1, 2007.
Regional and District Directors as well as the public are to co-operate with the CSSPS Secretariat to ensure a successful placement of all qualified candidates," it explained.
