As expected, Alec Baldwin, 54, married 28-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas in New York City on Saturday.According to a rep for Baldwin, the couple tied the knot at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in NYC, "sharing the occasion with family and friends inside the Cathedral," with "Alec warmly receiving congratulations from well-wishing fans on his way into the service."Baldwin's bride wore a "silk magnolia trumpet Amsale gown with cap sleeves," the "30 Rock" actor's rep told CNN, while Baldwin himself was dapper in a Tom Ford suit.According to the New York Times, Baldwin and Thomas met in February 2011 at a NYC restaurant called Pure Food and Wine.Photos: Alec Baldwin weds Hilaria ThomasThomas, an NYU grad who was raised in Boston and Spain, recalled to the Times that she was "standing near the door with my friends when [Baldwin] walked up and took my hand and said, ‘I must know you.'"Baldwin admitted to the paper that he didn't think that opening line was all that clever, but that when he saw his eventual bride-to-be, he "felt compelled" to make an introduction. That line led to a conversation between the two, and Baldwin handed Thomas his card. (Apparently, he "never [asks] women for their phone numbers.")After a bit of hesitation on Thomas' part to give Baldwin a call, the two had their first date a few days after their initial meeting.Baldwin told the Times that he "dated a lot of people" after he divorced his first wife, Kim Basinger, and thought carefully about what he desired going forward."I thought about it too much, I suppose," he said. "I wasn’t really ready to take that chance and to act until I met Hilaria. I was ready."Thomas, he said, "was in no hurry," but "she was very mature and clear about what she wanted — to be married someday.”And while the couple tweeted photos of their wedding rings on Sunday - with Hilaria having changed her account to reflect her married name - Baldwin's account appears to have since been deleted.
