Nollywood actor, Nkem Nwoh, according to reports has allegedly acquired a land fraudulently belonging to a widow.
A petition sent to the Enugu State Commissioner of Police in Nigeria says that on September 30, the actor popularly known as Osuofia bought the disputed land and went to a portion of it with thugs, where the widow had built a house, to demolish the entire building.
Sources say it is unclear how the actor got the title documents to the land.
It is also reported that when it came to light that he has illegally acquired the land, he begged the widow, Mrs Gloria Ayogu, to sell it which she refused.
When it was evident that the woman was not bugging, Nkem later started threatening the widow.
But the woman insisted she was not selling the land because it was the only property her husband, the late Ben Ayogu, left her and her three young children.
The widow is quoted to have said: "I call on men of goodwill to join in condemning this dastardly act of this man. He had been bribing his way around police circles but a petition is currently before the Enugu State Commissioner of Police on this matter."
The Police is still investigating the matter.
