Rihanna has rekindled her friendship with ex-boyfriend Matt Kemp and met him for drinks recently.
The 'We Found Love' singer - who is set to go public with her relationship with Chris Brown next month - is said to be back in contact with the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player whom she dated for a year following her split from Chris in 2009.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Rihanna and Matt always got on well, he was a rock for her after all the problems with Chris.
"Although her eye is on Chris, she's learned from past mistakes and isn't going to store all her eggs in one basket."
"This is keeping Chris on his toes."
The former couple reportedly met up for drinks after Matt reached out to the singer to congratulate her on the success of her latest single 'Diamonds'.
But 'Turn Up The Music' singer Chris, who recently dumped his girlfriend Karrueche Tran blaming his ''friendship'' with Rihanna, reportedly has nothing to worry about despite the fact she has been reaching out to her ex-boyfriend.
The 24-year-old popstar - who reconciled Chris even though he is still on probation for physically assaulting her in 2009 - is said to be ready to stop sneaking around and will take their reunion public after she releases her new album 'Unapologetic' next month.
A source said: "She hitting the studio real hard these days, but [talks] to Chris every step of the way.
"As soon as she finishes up with this album, they will be out. She gotta focus and get that album together and stay paid."
