Adele plans to write about motherhood for her next album, insisting that she wants a "happy record" in contrast to her previous two based on heartache and failed relationships.
The 'Someone Like You' hitmaker gave birth to a baby boy with charity boss boyfriend Simon Konecki, 38, on Friday and is already planning to write about him on her third album.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper Adele told friends: "I really want to release a happy record now. I have never been happier. I have written some stuff and I will release it when I'm ready."
US-based collaborator Dan Wilson also confirmed a new album is in the pipeline, saying: ''She's never been happier. Adele is in a good place. I am writing as many songs as I can.''
In contrast to her previous album '21' - which was centered around heartache over a failed relationship - Adele's new songs will be upbeat and she won't be taking a break from music, as previously suggested.
A source said: "Adele has been working for the last few months. Her music is based around how happy she is with Simon and the changes that come from being a mother. She has a few tunes and people will be surprised by the new sound, it's incredible.
"Talk about her disappearing for years is nonsense. She will be caring for her son until Christmas but it is her intention to have some mixes finished for an album as early as next autumn."
