The maiden edition of Acreaty Ghana’s career coaching and mentorship programme came off on April 13 and 14.
The program, ‘Beyond Academics’ sought to train Ghanaian students and graduates in CV and resume writing, public speaking, self-branding and other soft skills.
The program, held at the Bank of Ghana Auditorium, University of Ghana, was well patronized by students from some of Ghana’s top tertiary institutions.
Speaking at the Seminar, the Managing Partner of Acreaty Ghana; Mrs. Elsie Appau Esq. touched on the need to organize more of such programmes annually.
She was of the opinion that the problem with the current state of high graduate unemployment is not only the lack of jobs but also un-employability of the Ghanaian due to the lack of soft skills.
Other speakers were: Reginald Turkson, Head of People and Process Outsourcing, Acreaty Ghana and Magnus Dei-Brands Manager, Promasidor, who both spoke on Self Branding and Effective Communication.
Bright Owusu-Amofah, CEO, Appolonia City and Mr. Senyo Ajabeng, Author, the Career Tool Kit also touched on ‘Keys to High Performance and Productivity’.
The rest were Mrs. Amma Koranteng Ansah, General Manager-Human Resource, Enterprise Group and Mrs. Naa Adorkor Cudjoe, they both spoke on ‘identifying and securing your dream job’.
The second day of the program was a comprehensive and well-patronized workshop, which trained students in Employability skills and other soft-skills.
The workshop brought together seasoned HR experts from Acreaty’s International offices across the globe to train and mentor students towards achieving their dreams.
Some of Ghana’s old experts expressed their readiness to be a part of this great initiative in subsequent editions. The second edition is slated for next year in Kumasi.
