Ghanaian students from Ahtoo Montessori School stole the spotlight at the ENJOY AI 2025 Global Finals in Wuzhen, Shanghai, not just for their robotics skills, but for a captivating cultural performance that celebrated the country’s heritage.
Speaking on behalf of the school, a team coordinator said, “We wanted to show the world that Ghanaian innovation is rooted in our culture. Technology and tradition can go hand in hand.”
At the Opening Ceremony, the Ahtoo delegation performed in vibrant Ghanaian attire, blending music, dance, and storytelling.

Their display of authentic African rhythms and choreography earned widespread applause from international delegates, organisers, and fellow competitors.
The performance stood out in a competition dominated by advanced robotics and AI, reminding the global audience that Africa contributes not only technical expertise but also rich cultural narratives to international stages.
Ahtoo Montessori had earlier won bronze in the Battle of Tribes category, one of the most competitive events at the ENJOY AI Global Finals. Their cultural performance further highlighted the school’s holistic approach to education, combining STEM training with confidence, creativity, and pride in Ghanaian identity.
Ahmed Salim, General Manager of Atlantic Lithium, praised the students’ display: “It was inspiring to see our young people showcase Ghana’s culture on a global stage while competing at such a high technical level. This sends a powerful message about Africa’s potential in both technology and the arts.”

The success of Ahtoo Montessori at the ENJOY AI Global Finals reflects Ghana’s growing presence in international STEM competitions and underscores the importance of nurturing cultural identity alongside technical education.
The school, supported by MakersPlace Ghana and ENJOY AI partners WhalesBot, continues to champion youth robotics, coding, and AI education, now with the added recognition of promoting Ghanaian heritage to the world.
