A member of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee and former investigative journalist, Raymond Archer, has indicated the importance of thoroughly examining all 2,417 complaints of suspected corruption submitted to President John Mahama.

Speaking after the committee presented its report on Monday, February 10, 2025, Mr Archer stressed that every single case holds weight and should be treated as a priority.

“All the cases are of priority. They are all very compelling cases. Priority will depend on low-hanging fruits... but as far as I am concerned, each one of the cases is important to look at,” Mr Archer explained.

“It’s been a privilege to work on the committee. Very interesting things have happened, and we are happy that at least a lot has come out of it,” he added.

According to him, the cases are not categorised solely by financial losses or criminal classifications but rather by their broader impact on the nation’s well-being.

He also noted that the Attorney General is set to review the findings, with further investigations anticipated. Mr Archer also indicated plans for a subsequent phase focusing more on governmental systems.

“There is surely going to be a phase two, which is more going to be within the government system going forward.”
