The Amansie South District Assembly has confirmed Clement Opoku Gyamfi to serve as the District Chief Executive for a second term.
Mr Gyamfi polled 33 votes, which is 89.2% of the 37 votes.
After hours of voting, District Electoral Commissioner, Eric Anane declared Opoku Gyamfi as the District Chief Executive.
Clement Opoku Gyamfi was nominated by President Akuffo Addo through the Local Government Ministry on Sunday to serve as a DCE.
The nomination process followed a long period of intense anticipation as Ghanaians eagerly awaited the announcement of the list.
Mr Gyamfi pledged to work diligently to fix deplorable roads in the district.
He assured his constituents of a progressive second term.
He called on the assembly members to firmly support him to work towards the growth of the district.
The Member of Parliament for the Manso Adubia Constituency and Deputy Minister of Agriculture expressed excitement about the peaceful electoral process and also promised to work closely with the DCE to develop the Constituency.
