The 2023 All Star Festival has received a huge boost after captain of the Black Stars Andre Ayew confirmed his participation, and promised to rally his other star players to the Ahafo regions for an official off-season football tournament gathering.
Andre, in a chit-chat with the Chief Executive of The BAC Group, Dr Ernest Koranteng, expressed his readiness to make the much-anticipated trip to the acclaimed spiritual home of Ghana football.
"l think there's nothing more exciting for me than going back to a region that has significantly contributed to football development of my country. And l can assure you Doctor we will be coming" says Andre
"I also, know there are a lot of doubts that we will not make the trip because of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers which are just around the corner but we've already thought about it and we will be at Dormaa-Ahenkro to celebrate the contributions they've made "
"I'm also very very excited that we will reunite with Coach Avram Grant. And so everything is perfect" added Andre.
The Black Stars are expected to make a trip to the Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023, to take on Madagascar.
Andre and his colleagues will play the B & A Stars led by Paa Kwesi Fabin. The match will take place at Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa-Ahenkro on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
