Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Atumpan has joined forces with Angolan music sensation, Cabo Snoop to record a track for their fans.
The track, Moyerh Africana, a Portuguese title which means African Girls was recorded at the Star Productions Studios based in Tema Sunday night.
Atumpan who is known in real life as Frank Elinam Cobbinah told Myjoyonline.com in an interview, Monday, the song was inspired by the love shown them by their fans, especially their female fans.
“The song was inspired by how our women have accepted Cabo and myself, so we decided to do something for them and Africa as a whole.”
Atumpan explained, they encountered a difficult language barrier during production.
Cabo Snoop is fluent in Portuguese whilst Atumpan is fluent in English and Twi, but somehow we were able to surmount that challenge to put out a wonderful track, he noted.
“He had an interpreter so it was a bit difficult talking about the concept,” he said adding that, “I put the hook together and did a verse on it and he did a rap in Portuguese language.”
Asked when he will be releasing the song, The Thing singer indicated that, “I heard it on radio Monday morning, I guess it’s been leaked already so we are going to put it out as soon as possible.”
The two artistes shot the video for the song on Monday.
