Hiplife star, Ayigbe Edem who has for some time now devoted some of his time and resources to charity donated some items to the weija Leprosarium on Friday.
Edem donated an amount of GHc1,000 and a Dell flat screen computer, said to be around 750 Dollars.
In an interview with Myjoyonline, Edem said “I was touched by what I saw on the TV some weeks ago where Father Campbell spoke about the plight of the Leprosarium.”
The computer he says will help the administration of the leprosarium move from the manual and book keeping of records to a more digital method and the GHc1,000 for the up keep of the cured lepers.
He added that “my priority is making people who need help get help. People do not have to be rich before they can donate and help the needy in society.”
The Volta regime general is calling on the general public to join forces with him to contribute their quota to society.
Edem did a similar donation at the Maamobi Polyclinic last month where he donated 4 desktop computers with flat screen monitors and other items which summed up to GHc3000.
All these precede his much anticipated Volta Regime Foundation which will be a full time charity organization.
He revealed that he has just finished registering the Volta Regime Foundation and hopes to launch it very soon.
