Striker Emmanuel Osei Banahene has been ruled out of Ghana’s international friendly against Turkey due to injury.
The Şanlıurfaspor forward’s setback occurred Sunday in a friendly match and cannot recover before Wednesday’s exhibition match in Istanbul.
The former Berekum Chelsea player was handed his first senior team call-up after impressing last season on loan at Karsiyaka
“It’s unfortunate I will not be available for Ghana against Turkey after the injury I suffered in yesterday’s friendly game for my club,” the 24-year-old said.
“My team doctor will be assessing the extent of injury today (Monday) so I know how long I will be staying out.”
Banahene banged in 14 goals last season.
