Champions League winners Bayern Munich have approached Brighton about the availability of right-back Tariq Lamptey, according to various reports in Germany.
The 20-year-old has become one of Brighton's key players this season after joining from Chelsea in a £3 million deal in January.
Bayern, meanwhile, are keen to sign a new right-back and had targeted Sergino Dest before the Ajax defender opted to join Barcelona instead.
As a result, Bayern have now turned their attention to Lamptey and are looking to strike a deal with Brighton before the window closes on Monday.
Reports claim that Bayern have already made an approach to Lamptey’s representatives but the German champions are not yet willing to meet Brighton’s asking price.
Brighton are reportedly demanding €25 million (£22.8m) but Bayern are only willing to offer €15m (£13.6m).
Lamptey has made 11 appearances for Brighton since joining and has provided four assists during that period.
