The Banquet Hall of the State House was on Saturday night filled with diverse personalities in the country who came to lend a helping hand to Becca’s call to register under privileged kids for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
The event, Becca’s Children’s Ball was organised by musician Rebecca Acheampong, popularly known as Becca. She hopes to raise about GH¢ 150,000 to register about 10, 000 children.
Notable personalities like Ishac Diwan, the World Bank Country representative, Mr Sylvester Mensah, CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority, Joe Ohemeng partner at Deloitte & Touche, Kwame Sefa Kayi and many others graced the event.
The Utimate Accapella Group set the night’s entertainment spree off with a fantastic performance which was followed by some rib cracking comedy from Nigeria’s finest Basket Mouth.
There was no way the Ball would have ended without pleasurable songs from the organiser herself. The diva mounted the stage and, at her usual best, unleashed most of her hits songs to the delight of the audience. Her performance was followed by a fashion show by Renee Q.
However, the night was ‘stolen’ by the legend 'Abrantie' Amakye Dede who proved to everybody that he is still fresh and he can also deliver when called upon.
Abrantie got the youth dancing to his good-old tunes as if they were newly released.
After the dinning and the musical performances, many items were auctioned as people make pledges alongside.
