Ghanaian music sensation, Black Sherif, has congratulated the finalists of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) as they prepare to lock horns in what promises to be a fierce grand finale for the coveted trophy and ultimate bragging rights.
The music star shared the inspiring message ahead of the final, which takes place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, urging the contestants to stay proud of their journey and give their best no matter the outcome.
Speaking to JoyNews, Black Sherif said, “I salute my finalists. I love you guys so much, and I want to congratulate you. I’m very proud of you, and I know your friends and families are also proud of you.
"This is Black Sherif sending out my heart to you guys. Whether you carry the trophy or not, you are all champions. Today is a big day, celebrate, enjoy some ‘jama,’ and go home peacefully. I love you.”
The 2025 NSMQ grand finale is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling academic showdowns in recent memory, featuring three powerhouses of Ghanaian secondary education: Mfantsipim School, Opoku Ware School, and St. Augustine’s College.
Together, these schools boast a combined seven national titles, and each is hungry to add another to its legacy.
Set to take place at the University of Cape Coast, this year’s finale is more than just a battle of intellect; it is a clash of legacies.
