The assistant coach of Hasaacas Ladies, Emmanuel Kwesi Mensah, has refused to be drawn into the comparison between the current team and the squad assembled for the first edition of the WAFU B Champions League qualifiers.
The Hasmal Ladies won the maiden edition of the zonal championship before going ahead to finish second in the main Champions League tournament.
The current set-up has been charged to repeat the success of the squad from three years ago and also reach the same stage.
However, Kwesi Mensah has asked Ghanaians not to burden his players with pressure.
"I am of the opinion that the past belongs to the past. I don't dwell so much on the past," he said following the team's 0-0 draw with Omnisports Etincelle in their opening game.
"We came here with our own expectations; that we have high standards and we have to win. It doesn't matter the results that came two years ago.
"They had different crop of players. We have different crop of players and for me, we were looking forward to a win which like I said, I am very disappointed because we have a very good standard. Even the draw could have been a good result for us but because of our standards I will that I am not too impressed with it."
Hasaacas will now set their sights on the next game against Edo Queens on Wednesday, August 14.
The Nigerian side picked up a 5-0 win over Niger's AS Garde National in the other Group B fixture.
