Head coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Joe Nana Adarkwa, has hailed the performance of his team in the win over Huracanes FC on Sunday.
The Ghanaian champions beat the Equatoria Guinean side to advance into the last four of the CAF Women's Champions League having lost against AS Mande in their second Group B game.
The 3-0 defeat against the Malian side meant Ampem Darkoa needed to react well if they stood a chance of progressing to the next stage and they did just that in Korhogo.
"We knew our last group game against Huracanes was going to be difficult so we did a lot at training and I am glad the ladies stuck to our game plan on the match day and delivered," the gaffer said.
"They really played their heart out, unlike our second game against AS Mande, where they were complacent and unfocused."
The assistant coach of the Black Princesses also added that they are taking the competition game after the game and not getting ahead of themselves.
"We are taking it one game at a time. Next is the semi-finals, and the technical team is working on keeping the ladies on their toes not to lose focus again," he continued.
The Nana Mma return to San Pedro for their semifinal game against Sporting Club Casablanca on Wednesday, November 15.
