Cargill Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing sustainability, innovation, and education with the refurbishment of an ICT Centre in the cocoa-growing community of Nyinahin, located in the Atwima Mponua District.
Through the Cargill Cares initiative, the company has donated 40 computers, a printer with scanner, 20 computer tables, 50 chairs, a 65-inch TV set, and new security doors to the Nyinahin D/A Salem Basic C School.
The facility has also been re-wired and equipped with internet connectivity, transforming it into a modern hub for digital learning. This investment underscores Cargill Ghana’s ongoing commitment to advancing digital literacy in cocoa-growing communities, ensuring that students gain the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Community leaders and teachers have praised the project for providing a safe, well-equipped space that bridges the technology gap between rural and urban schools. The upgraded ICT Centre is expected to serve as a model for digital education across the Ashanti Region, offering students hands-on exposure to modern technology.
“By investing in both education and environmental stewardship, Cargill Ghana continues to demonstrate that true progress means driving business growth while contributing to the well-being of people and the planet,” said Max Essoh Latte, Managing Director of Cargill Ghana.

“Together, these projects reflect our purpose of nourishing the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way, empowering communities, protecting natural resources, and building lasting value across
Ghana’s cocoa sector from bean to bar.”
