Corporate Ghana continues to show support for the Heal Ghana Month campaign, with Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) contributing GH¢300,000 to assist the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) in providing treatment for non-communicable diseases.
The cheque was presented on Wednesday as part of efforts to support the Fund’s mission of offering financial assistance to Ghanaians battling critical non-communicable diseases but unable to afford treatment.
The donation was led by the Managing Director of CBG, Dr Naomi Wolali Kwetey, who described the contribution as a small step towards a much larger national cause.

“This is just a token, and we will come back with more going forward. I want to commend you for the good work you are doing. Until we came here today, we had no idea about the magnitude of the work you have put in. You are doing very well,” Dr Kwetey said during the presentation.

The Heal Ghana Month campaign encourages individuals and corporate institutions to support the Trust Fund’s efforts to help patients suffering from life-threatening non-communicable diseases who cannot afford treatment.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Board of Trustees and management of the Fund, Administrator Obuobia Darko-Opoku expressed appreciation to the bank for the timely support.

“We are speechless and deeply touched that despite the many pressures and responsibilities on the bank, you chose to remember us,” she said.

“What you have done today is give some Ghanaians a second chance at life. We urge you to continue standing with us so that together we can heal Ghana.”

The contribution by CBG highlights the growing commitment of corporate organisations to the Heal Ghana Month campaign, as institutions increasingly respond to calls to support the Ghana Medical Trust Fund in saving lives.
