Chairman of the Ghana Songwriters Association, Mr Logic has urged all men to opt for financially independent women when seeking for a relationship.
According to him, since some women tend to disregard the advances of financially unstable men, there is nothing wrong in returning the favour.
“As men, it is time to go propose to women who have money and not broke girls because most girls will not love or like you if you are not a well-to-do guy; if you don’t drive and look good, you don’t dress well, you don’t use iPhone, they look at all these accessories.
It is time men also started looking for women who are well-to-do,” he told Andy Dosty, host of Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.
He further expressed that women with no financial independence tend to place all their financial burdens solely on their boyfriends, making the relationship very stressful for the men.
“Her Uber will be on you, her dropping will be on you, her transportation will be on you. Why is it that men are supposed to be well to do in relationships and women are not?” he asked.
He made this statement in reference to the unfortunate incident of the death of two young boys at the hands of their mother because the weekly stipend of 20 cedis she receives from her husband was insufficient for their upkeep.
“As it stands I expect any woman who comes my way to be financially independent; she must have money because without it I will not look her way at all,
There is so much pressure on men because we are thinking of how to make money, get houses and good jobs, can’t the women help us too?" He expressed.
