The Zion Community Church International in collaboration with Frontier Missions Network has come to the aid of two rural communities with two new boreholes.
Buopuokoraa and Nyanyama -Nakpal of the Salwa Tuna Kalba District of the Savannah Region are at the receiving end of this gesture.
These boreholes fitted with hand pumps cost ¢40,000 and are expected to serve about 1,000 residents from the two communities and beyond,
This will save residents from the springs and stream which pose the risk of water borne diseases and will reduce the time spent by women in search of water.
Founder and overseer of the church, Reverend Sansah was optimistic the development will ensure that residents are not stranded at the stream in their communities anymore.
“The gospel is not only about the spiritual welfare, it also concerns itself with the physical dimension of its adherents, to meet their most felt social needs,” he said,

Apostle Sansah, intimated that partnering government to provide the needs of the people was another way of preaching the gospel and showing people how to be benevolent and merciful towards the needs of others.
On his part, Buopuon Yirlo, a leader of Buopuonkoraa, commended the church for its active role in the development of the district.
"Since the existence of this community we have never tasted a potable water as we compete with our animals at the stream for water," he admitted.
Residents of the two beneficiary communities, especially the women thanked the man of God for his unflinching support in providing them with potable water as they sang and danced to the admiration of all.
The church and its network have drilled over 35Â boreholes in the Sawla- Tuna-Kalba District.
