In the first of this investigative series,Joy FM's investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure, will tell you how some accountants at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital divert monies meant for the hospital into their private pockets.
After months of investigations, Joy News can confirm there is massive corruption at the nation’s premier teaching hospital.
Our investigation has revealed that some accountants at the hospital reduced the bills of patients by half. They then take part of the remaining half as bribe, while the patients receive a waiver.
After gathering substantial evidence, Manasseh Azure Awuni confronted them with the damning revelations, which they confirm and accepted responsibility.
But they claim they were doing so on humanitarian grounds and the money they receive was a "thank-you" gesture from the patients.
