South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is in self-quarantine after being exposed to Covid-19.

A guest at a dinner attended by the president on Saturday evening tested positive on Tuesday.

Thirty-five people attended the fundraising event.

The guest showed symptoms on Sunday and tested on Monday.

The result only became known Tuesday, but the president had since unveiled the OR Tambo statue and attended the opening of a hotel.

The presidency says Ramaphosa is not showing any symptoms.

In the meantime, he will continue working remotely.
