Ghanaian Hip hop star, also referred to as the ‘King of Gh rap’, D-Black is all set to release his debut solo album titled 'Music, Love & Life' on the 26th of December 2009 on his Black Avenue Music Label & Distribution Outlet in collaboration with Phamous People. Two singles from the album is expected to be released on the 22nd of October. D-Black has in the last year dropped three major singles from his joint album ‘Target Practice’ with ex-big brother housemate, Kwaku-T. He is flying solo this time with a 16-track album with music he has written and recorded surrounding his life’s experiences and the music he loves hence the album’s title “Music , Love & Life. “Music is the love of my life and this album is me,” D-Black said. D-Black features on this album Kwaw Kese , Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, Chase, Afia (Jane Awindor), Wyclef Jean, 2 Face Idibia & M.I from Nigeria, Reggie Rockstone and Kwaku-T. With prominent producers like Kwam1, Piesie, Killmatic, Jay Sleek (Nigeria), Skonti, M.A. ,G.C Funk, Lil Shaker and Jay So working on the album. D-Black’s album promises to be a face lift for Ghanaian music on the international scene and his music is a fusion of his lyrical dexterity, right choice of beats and concepts, his life experiences and train of thought. There’s a number of party songs on this album 'Dirty Dancin’ ft. Reggie Rockstone , ‘Never leave’ ft. Stone Bwouy, ‘Fire’ ft. Samini and ‘Carry dey go’ with Okyeame Kwame are all automatic movers says d-black. D-black has graced concerts in Ghana like the Jay-Z in Ghana concert , Omarion and Fat Joe concert, Ghana Music Awards 2008 with P-Square, the Busta Rhymes live in Ghana concert, Joy FM Night with the Stars 2008 and much more... 'Move', a video from his first album ‘Target Practice’ with Kwaku-T earned them a nomination at the channel o music video awards 2009. A second video from the same album 'Breathe' is said to be the best video from Ghana till date and it is gaining a lot of attention on the international scene as it is receiving heavy rotation on MTV Base and is currently number one on the Channel O Music Video charts. The Marketing Co-ordinator of Black Avenue Music, Kojo Debrah said “this album will be distributed & marketed in Nigeria , South Africa, Kenya and in Europe and possibly the United States of America.
