Liberty Professionals have appointed David Ocloo as head coach of the club ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League.
The 35 year old replaces David Reginald Asante, who is on a sabbatical leave in pursuit of a coaching course abroad. The outgone coach led the Dansoman based club to the semi-finals of the Normalisation Cup.
The club CEO Linda Ansong explained that the ambition of Ocloo made him the right man for the job.
“We like David’s enthusiasm and fresh outlook on how to play football. He is ambitious and grow with us. We also like that he has a clear picture of what we want to build going forward. We have one of the youngest teams in the Premier League and we feel he will provide these boys the best chance at maximising their potential”.
Ocloo has gained some level of experience in the continent, previously working with Wa All Stars and Maranatha FC of Togo.
He will be officially unveiled at a press briefing later by the club.
