Otto Addo who returned to Ghana following his reappointment as head coach of the Black Stars faces the task of rebuilding and leading the team the team to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking at the Coach’s press briefing for the unveiling of the squad, the veteran sports journalist stressed the improvement of Addo’s ability to handle the divergent opinions and criticisms of the Ghanaian public.
“You are the official coach but the real coaches are here. So the criticisms will come in. Some will be caustic. Some will be very vitriolic…but in all that just relax and understand that as journalists, we mean well” Yeboah advised
He further emphasized that “don’t take the criticisms personally but they will come in fast and thick…but in all this just understand that we are this together and we all want to see the good of the team”

Currently, Ghana sits 4th in the qualifying table with three points. The team will need to secure all points when they face Mali in Bamako on June 6, before hosting the Central African Republic in Kumasi on June 10.
