The Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has paid an unexpected visit to the Afia Kobi Ampem Senior High School at Trabuom in the Ashanti Region.
As the person at the helm of affairs of the education sector of the country, Dr. Adutwum took the opportunity to visit the school to interact with the teachers and students.
During his unannounced visit on Sunday, the Minister ate breakfast with his hosts.
“My routine visits to schools provide me with the rare opportunity to interact with students and teachers in the classroom. I was excited when I visited Afia Kobi Ampem Senior High School.
“After sharing breakfast with the students, I shared nuggets of wisdom using my life story as an example,” he wrote on Facebook.
The Minister further reiterated the importance of students acquiring practical training and creative skills.
“I was particularly amazed by the Engineering club of the school who showcased a drone they designed. It was interesting to watch the 8-member engineering club fly the drone for over 1 km,” he noted.
Describing the visit as a fruitful one, he added, “I am looking forward to my next school visit.”
