The Empowerment Care Foundation, the humanitarian arm of Empowerment Worship Centre under the leadership of Prophet Gideon Danso, has announced the 11th edition of its landmark initiative, LifeCheck.
Building on a decade-long legacy of compassion, this year's event will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Adenta Village Astro Turf, with a bold ambition to provide critical health and educational support to over 17,000 residents of Adenta, Madina, and surrounding communities.
Since its inception in 2014, LifeCheck has evolved from a heartfelt outreach into a powerful, large-scale movement, impacting over 65,000 lives by bridging the gap between essential services and those who need them most.

This year, LifeCheck introduces a dynamic focus on proactive community wellness.
For the first time, the initiative will be launched with the LifeCheck Run-a-thon, a sponsored 4.5km walk/run designed to rally the community in a celebration of health and collective action.
The Run-a-thon will take place this Saturday, September 20th, starting at 6:30 AM prompt from the EWC Adenta Campus to the Adenta Village Astro Turf, setting a powerful precedent for the main event.
LifeCheck has always been about meeting people at their point of need with compassion," says our Global Lead Pastor, Prophet Gideon Danso”.

This year, by introducing the Run-a-thon, we will not only be providing care but also initiating a culture of holistic wellness. We're inviting the entire community to take a literal step towards better health, not just for themselves but for their neighbours. It marks a brilliant new chapter in our story, one that moves from annual intervention to year-round inspiration.
The main event on September 27th will continue its tradition of providing an extensive array of free services, delivered with excellence and care:
● Comprehensive Medical Care: A full suite of services including general and surgical consultations, dental and eye clinics, ultrasound scans, laboratory services (for Malaria, Hepatitis B, Blood Sugar, etc.), a fully stocked pharmacy, and a blood donation drive to support the National Blood Service.
● Back to School Empowerment: Over 5,000 children will be equipped for the new academic year with free school bags, uniforms, shoes, exercise books, and stationery.
● Holistic Community Support: The event will also offer free NHIS registration and renewals, distribution of clothing, nourishing meals, and free haircuts.
Prophet Gideon Danso, the Global Lead Pastor of Empowerment Worship Centre, reemphasises the core mission.
"LifeCheck is the heart of our church in action. It is our commitment to extend the love and care we've received to every corner of our community. This year, we are aiming to reach not just numbers, we are also aiming to ignite a lasting passion for wellness and empowerment in thousands of lives," he added.
The Empowerment Care Foundation invites corporations, philanthropists, and the general public to join this transformative mission.
The public can support through financial contributions, in-kind donations of medical or educational supplies, or through volunteering.
