After what was a record setting engagement in the Big Brother Africa All Stars reality show, the newly engaged couples, Mwisho and Meryl were given only 24 hours to enjoy their engagement as Africa decided to kick out Meryl from the Big Brother House Sunday.
Of all the five remaining Housemates, all were up for eviction except Munya who by virtue of being Head of House replaced himself with newly engaged Meryl.
As is the norm during eviction night, the current Head of House was asked to address his fellow Housemates and the rest of the African continent and reveal who they had swapped themselves with.
Munya dutifully rose to his feet and did not look to be painstakingly searching for words to explain this Week’s switch.
He started by congratulating the newly engaged couple and then explained how he had been put up so many times, so the first chance he got, he had to save himself. "I switched myself and put Meryl up," he said confidently.
Meryl’s eviction spelt one of the most emotional exits seen yet as she and Mwisho got engaged in front of their relatives and millions of Big Brother viewers across Africa in glamorous fashion.
Preceeding the eviction was a splendid performance led by Ghana’s own and former Housemates, Kwaku-T and Mimi who performed As I am taken from Kwaku-T’s latest album.
Also mounting the stage Sunday night were Big Brother Revolution winner Kelvin and his girlfriend Elizabeth who gave the audience a taste of Jay-Z and Beyonce swag.
