Members of the Event Vendors Association of Ghana (EVAG) will participate in the inaugural African Global Events Industry Summit (AGEIS) alongside other industry stakeholders from across the continent.
The summit is scheduled to take place in Gauteng, South Africa from 22-25 February 2024, with the theme 'Building Bridges in the African Events Industry', aiming to unite the African events community and propel the industry forward.
Originating from the successful Ghana Events Industry Conference, the summit is anticipated to draw leaders, influencers, investors, and professionals in the events sector to engage in discussions and explore avenues for fostering collaboration and establishing a solid foundation for growth throughout Africa.
The organizers have indicated that a significant portion of the attendees will represent Central and West African nations, including Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Burkina Faso, Namibia, Mozambique, and other African countries.
Kate Hassan, President of EVAG, expressed confidence that the Ghanaian delegation is well-prepared to share their extensive industry expertise with other participating countries, showcasing how Ghana's events industry has remained resilient in the face of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We have a number of our members ready to attend this year's summit which happens to be the maiden event. Ghana as it stands happens to be one of the countries on the continent to have a thriving event sector amidst its challenges. This summit allows us to learn and also share our rich expertise with the rest of our neighboring African countries who will be attending," she said.
The summit agenda includes master class sessions, panel discussions, and one-on-one interviews featuring industry leaders and experts who will share valuable insights and experiences to inspire attendees to elevate their businesses.
