Black Stars winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, will play in the Premier League next season with Leicester City, the player has confirmed.
The 20 year old, who is on loan from Portuguese side, Sporting CP, enjoyed a stellar campaign with the Foxes during the 2023/2024 season, scoring 6 goals and providing 13 assists as Leicester won the EFL Championship to gain promotion back into the Premier League.
In an interview on the red carpet at the Ghana Football Awards over the weekend, the former Ghana U-20 star confirmed to host, Fentuo Tahiru, that he would remain with the Premier League side.
"Yes I'm staying at Leicester City. It's 100%," he said.
Sporting Lisbon confirmed in May that Leicester had triggered the €17 million buy option in the winger's contract.
Fatawu joined the Foxes on loan from Sporting CP at the start of the 2023/2024 season, after enduring a difficult start to life in Europe during his time with the Portuguese side.
