The fired boss of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) says he is not surprised by the decision of government to terminate his appointment.
Fosuaba Banahene was asked to vacate his position via a letter signed by Education Minister, Alex Tettey Enyo.
No reasons were assigned for his immediate dismissal.
He told Joy News he has accepted the decision and is complying with the ministry to facilitate a smooth transition.
"They say I should leave and I have accepted it. If somebody writes for you to do something and you don't write back it is a sign of disrespect," he noted.
He has no idea who is taking over from him.
Fosuaba Banahene was appointed by the Kufuor administration in 2001 to oversee the administration of the GETFund, a position he has held until his dismissal.
