Some first year students of senior high schools have been forced to commute over long distances to school every morning as a result of the accommodation problems facing the schools. The lucky ones are able to commute with their parents but information reaching Joy News indicates that some students, especially those from out of town, are really confronted with challenging situations. One parent who is forced to take his child to a school in Accra every morning said he is getting frustrated. Joy News’ Fiifi Koomson who visited one school said some students told him they are sleeping outside under hazardous conditions. The students, he reported, are optimistic that the school authorities’ promise to resolve the issues, will be fulfilled in the not too distant future. Source: Joy News/Ghana
