A non-governmental organization, Friends of Adaklu (FOA), has pledged its commitment to ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare to residents in the Adaklu District of the Volta Region.
The Country Representative of FOA, Stella Kudah said her organization has developed a roadmap which identifies the problems affecting healthcare delivery and its accompanied solutions.
She gave the assurance when her outfit extended its benevolence to the E.P Mimi Health Center in Adaklu Waya.

Friends of Adaklu equipped the facility which they earlier constructed and handed over to the community with two hospital beds, a ward screen, two instrument trays and a dressing set.
A parcel was also presented to each of the 19 workers at post at the Clinic, including the cleaner and the night security guard.

The Founder and Executive Director of Friends of Adaklu, Helga-Liz Haberfellner, made available funds for procuring the medical equipment.
Madam Kudah said it was imperative to provide the equipment to the health center, which serves the majority of residents in the district, to enable it admit patients who may need to be taken in for treatment.
“With the beds, I believe health workers would have enough time to take care of the patients and give them the necessary attentions”, she added.
She said her outfit is also focused on improving maternal and child healthcare, hence, would build the capacity of midwives and provide them with requisite logistics in the near future.

The Adaklu District Director of Health, Charles Azagba, appreciated the kind gesture by Helga-Liz Haberfellner indicating it was the first of its kind for an individual to single-handedly donate such a huge number of medical equipment to the health facility.
The Adaklu District Chief Executive, Juliana Kpedekpo, expressed profound gratitude for FOA's continuous support to Adaklu District especially to the health sector.
The Physician Assistant stationed at Mimi Health Center, Mary Akuamoah, lauded the gesture and appealed for extra equipment to enable the facility to meet the healthcare demands of its clients.
