Black Satellites forward Jerry Afriyie was named the winner of the Odartey Lamptey Future Star award at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards.
The CD Lugo loanee beat competition from Rootz Sistaz’s Christiana Ashiaku and Edmund Baidoo of Red Bull Salzburg.
Afriyie was the star man for Desmond Ofei’s side during the qualifiers for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Togo.
He also featured for the team at the tournament in Egypt where he set up the winning goal in the game against Senegal.
Away from national team performance, the forward was also an instrumental player for Spanish side CD Lugo as they escaped the drop at the end of the 2024/25 season.
