Ghana and Angola have signed two agreements to strengthen bilateral ties.
The two countries signed the MOU for political consultations and an agreement for economic, technical and cultural cooperation.
The agreements were signed at the end of the two-day official state visit of the Angolan president Jose Edaurdo Dos Santos.
President Mills said Ghana will be committed towards implementing the terms of the agreements.
“We have a lot in common and we both believe in the right way to move our nations forward in the right direction.
“This is therefore a golden opportunity for us to exchange views and ideas and plan the way forward so that we can improve the lot of our people and together show the rest of the World that there is nothing we Africans cannot do,” Mills noted.
Speaking through an interpreter the Angolan President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos said the two agreements will enhance cooperation between the two countries for their mutual benefit.
“From now on nothing will be the same as in the past regarding our relations. We are working towards peace, stability and security and for the promotion and development," Dos Santos said.
