For several music lovers in the twin-city of Sekondi-Takoradi, last weekend will remain very memorable after partying for two nights with their favourite hit makers on the Ghanaian music front.
The weekend saw the first Nominees Jam of the 13th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in Takoradi, kicking off on Friday at a packed Vienna City Night Club with the pre party session.
It was amazing how the musicians; Keche, Stay J and Eduwoji connected with the over enthusiastic crowd who kept screaming for more after the performances of the VGMA 2012 nominees.
The celebrations continued with the major jam on Saturday night at the Takoradi Jubilee Park which recorded one of the biggest patronages in recent times.
After the Patch Bay band had treated them to their renditions of several classics, Gifty Osei took the stage, followed by Selina Boateng who also had a great performance to excite the crowd which at this time was yelling for more.
Performances by Trigmatic, Zigi, Becca and Raquel further raised the tempo and they displayed amazing stagecraft.
Keche, Stay J and Edwoji were indeed spectacular on stage as they took the excitement to another level.
Crowd-puller Kwaw Kesse could not be outdone, wowing patrons further with his unique stagecraft and showmanship. From all indications, the massive crowd loved his gigs.
Kumasi is the next stop to host the open-air jam on Saturday, March 24 which will also feature several nominees including like Okyeame Kwame, Buk Bak, Stay Jay, Obaapa Christy, DSP Kofi Sarpong, Kwaw Kesse, Blakk Rasta, and many more.
