Organizers of the 2011 edition of the Ghana Music Awards scheme have closed nominations for this year’s edition of the awards.
According a press release by the organizers, many of the entries received from the nationwide data collection exercise satisfy GMA requirements of commercial release and date of release which falls December 1, 2010 – November 30, 2011.
The statement further indicated that organizers are currently working towards the grand launch of the awards as the Planning Committee completes its work on the nomination and categorization process.
At the end of that process, the scheme will reveal the top five or six nominations per category which will subsequently be published for the general public to vote their best.
The Committee, according to the release, last met on Sunday February 6, 2011 to work on the categories.
