Some teachers of the Ghana National College in Cape Coast have sent a petition to the education minister demanding the removal of the headmaster.
They accuse Mr. Robert Koomson-Barnes of running the school down. The teachers allege staff do not want to work with him anymore, because he does not involve them in decision-making, after he allegedly dissolved the school’s board unilaterally.
Mr. Koomson-Barnes is also accused of mismanagement, among a litany of other wrongs the teachers claim have adversely affected academic work.
They warn he will collapse the school in no time if he is not sacked.
Joy News spoke to one of the teachers, Wisdom Apedo, after they presented their petition to the education minister Tuesday.
He claimed that every single teacher of the school was in support of the removal of the headmaster but added some of them, for fear of being victimized, were reluctant to publicly speak on the matter.
