Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has charged members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be missionaries and move around to spread the good news of the Akufo-Addo administration.“We are called upon to have a missionary zeal in the work of governance and at the same time spread the good news of the New Patriotic Party government,” he the teeming crowd at the NPP National Delegates Conference, Sunday. Mr Kufuor lauded the Akufo-Addo government for its good works but is worried that the stories of such works are not being told. “We’ve got to tell our story...If we do not trumpet our achievements, and they are many, no one will tell them for us,” Mr Kufuor urged.The former President said successive NPP governments are what will push the country forward into the ranks of the developed nations in the world.
According to him, he has observed, during his long presence in politics, that, Ghanaians love the NPP and share in the party’s vision for development.

“They share in our vision of development and freedom, our respect for the private individual and enterprise and our liberal democratic outlook. They know that it is our party that can bring the transformation that our nation yearns for.”
Former President Kufuor is convinced if the NPP heeds to his advice, Ghanaians will reward the party with “multiple successive mandates” in the years to come.
