Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson has emphasised that the transformation of Ghana is not the sole responsibility of the President, but a shared duty that requires the active participation of all citizens.
Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held at the forecourt of the State House, where thousands had gathered in unity and reflection, Cardinal Turkson called on Ghanaians to embrace a renewed sense of patriotism and civic duty.
He stressed that meaningful national development and the vision of President John Mahama can only be achieved when every individual contributes to the common good.
The service, which brought together leaders of various faiths and political figures, marked a moment of spiritual reflection and national purpose, underscoring the importance of unity and shared responsibility in building a better Ghana.
The event was in commemoration of Ghana's Republic Day on July 1.
