Portuguese top flight side Vitoria Guimaraes have confirmed Gideon Mensah has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Ghana defender was involved in the international break, featuring in both games against Mali and Qatar.
The 22-year-old has isolated from the whole Vitoria Guimaraes squad and will self isolate for the next 14 days whilst receiving treatment.
Mensah becomes the second Ghana player to have tested positive for the coronavirus after Bernard Mensah was confirmed with the virus after the international break.
Currently, a Black Stars management member, Jones Abu Alhassan is said to be self-isolating in Turkey after he also tested positive.
Ahead of the Mali game, it was confirmed that four players of the Eagles had tested positive for the virus.
It remains to be seen the full extent of the spread of the virus in the Black Stars camp as players are returning to their respective clubs.
The left back joined Vitória Guimarães on a season long loan with an option to buy and is yet to make an appearance this season.
