The left-back played the entire duration of the game as Auxerre succumbed to a 1-2 defeat with Kylian Mbappe scoring a brace for the away side.
The Ghanaian was up against Lionel Messi on the left side of Auxerre’s defence and put in a good shift against the Argentine.
Gideon won four of his seven duels from the game while completing two of his attempted tackles.
Despite his team’s defeat, the defender ending the game swapping jerseys with Lionel Messi which he later shared a post on social media.
