Global Citizen has rescheduled its Move Afrika Ghana event, expressing its unwavering commitment to Ghana and its incredible people.
Since the iconic 2022 Global Citizen Festival in Black Star Square, Global Citizen has come to see Ghana not just as a festival location, but as a home for our mission to uplift communities across Africa, advocate for women and girls, invest in Africa’s creative economies, and fight for equity for all people.
“Together, we showcased African excellence to the world, creating a moment that resonated globally. We are deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and support we’ve received in Ghana and look forward to building on this momentum”, it explained.

“While we had hoped to bring the Move Afrika tour to Ghana this year, the timeline needed to make an Accra show viable was not possible for this next tour”, it added.
Global Citizen reiterated its commitment to Ghana and its people, saying “we very much appreciate the excitement and anticipation surrounding the event and we look forward to bringing Move Afrika to Accra as soon as we can”.
Until then, together with its nonprofit Ghana partners, Global Citizen said it will continue to drive change in local communities in line with the mission of its movement.
