GoldBod Jewellery has been recognised for its contribution to innovation and value creation in Ghana’s gold sector after receiving a major honour at the Africa Governments Summit & Public Sector Innovation Awards 2026.
The company was presented with the Public Sector Value Addition and Gold Industry Innovation Excellence Award during the awards ceremony held on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
The recognition highlights GoldBod Jewellery’s efforts to promote innovation within the gold industry while supporting initiatives that enhance value addition to Ghana’s mineral resources.
Organisers of the summit noted that the award celebrates institutions and organisations that are introducing creative approaches and forward-thinking solutions to strengthen the public sector and key industries across Africa.
GoldBod Jewellery has been involved in initiatives aimed at transforming Ghana’s gold resources into higher-value products, a move seen as essential to maximising economic benefits from the country’s mineral wealth.
Industry observers say such efforts align with broader national goals to shift from exporting raw materials to promoting local processing and manufacturing.
The award also reflects the growing recognition of companies and institutions that are contributing to innovation and sustainable growth within Ghana’s gold sector.
The Africa Governments Summit & Public Sector Innovation Awards 2026 brings together policymakers, public institutions and industry players to acknowledge organisations driving reform, innovation and improved service delivery across the continent.
