Bibiani GoldStars moved up the league table of the Ghana Premier League following their win over Bechem United at home.
Michael Nkoah climbed off the bench to score the only goal of the game at the Dun's Park in the matchday five encounter on Sunday, October 6.
Nkoah, who replaced Samuel Attah Kusi in the 23rd minute, made an immediate impact, scoring 10 minutes after his introduction
The hosts started the game well but were forced to make an early substitute after an injury to Attah Kusi.
The visitors also had to make an early substitute, replacing David Asenso Asabere with Emmanuel Owusu at the half-hour mark.
Despite the substitutions, Goldstars maintained a one-goal lead at halftime.
Bechem came back from the break, firing from all places in search of the leveller, but they were second to the resilient defence of GoldStars.
In the end, it was victory for GoldStars who now jump ahead of Medeama to go second only behind Asante Kotoko who defeated Accra Lions to secure top spot.
