Karela United secured a vital 1–0 victory over Vision FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in a tightly contested Matchday 15 encounter of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Entering the match following a recent dip in form, the 'Pride and Passion' side showed renewed determination to stay within striking distance of the top four.
The breakthrough arrived in the 56th minute when Malik Abubakar found the back of the net, clinical finishing that ultimately decided the contest.
Vision FC, desperate to pull away from the relegation zone, fought valiantly but struggled to breach a resolute Karela defense.
The win moves Karela United up to 8th place with 23 points. Conversely, the result leaves Vision FC in the 16th position, lingering in the drop zone after a string of difficult results.
The tactical discipline shown by Nurudeen Amadu’s men allowed them to preserve their narrow lead until the final whistle, much to the delight of the home supporters.
As the league intensifies, Karela United will look to maintain this momentum when they next take on Swedru All Blacks, while Vision FC return home to host Nations FC.
